As mentioned before, I managed to make it here to Huntsville on the 4th of July. Over the past two weeks, I’ve been more than a little busy. While happy to get in a brief explanation before about my safe arrival, I believe it’s time to continue the story.

for students who want a unique dorm situation . . .

When I was applying for college, I did a lot of research into the area around the school, as well as the school's facilities. I wanted a unique campus that didn't necessarily rely on the area around it as its sole means of attracting students. I finally decided to go to a college with a huge, open campus full of green grass, lakes, and trees, as well as colonial style buildings. During my search I found a few really interesting dorms that I thought some of you would get a kick out of checking out - who knows, they may even influence your college decision-making!
Enjoy!

I'm a rising senior, and need to take a few SAT Subject Tests. I'd also like to retake the SAT, but I'm a bit concerned about having all of my colleges receive my scores by their deadlines. On collegeboard, it says when scores will be available online, and when they will begin mailing them, but it doesn't say anything about when colleges will receive them. If I designate the score recipients before taking the test, how long before/after the scores are available online will colleges receive them?
Thank you!
Thank you!

midgets and retards aside...
is there a cheap way to get to pittsburgh from philadelphia or new york? i have friends who want to visit, but i can only find $100+ roundtrip bus/train/plane tickets. i was hoping to find something for a little less, like $60 roundtrip. does pittsburgh have a chinatown bus, or is there a chinatown bus that would drop friends off reasonably close to pittsburgh?
any info is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Does anyone here have experience with appealing for more financial aid?
I posted before about transferring to Vanderbilt or Northwestern, and I decided on the latter, but the financial aid is simply not enough. I need a few thousand dollars more, preferably through grants or work study. However, I sent them my deposit. Considering that and the fact that I would be a transfer, is it still likely or possible that they'll consider increasing my FA package?

I checked the tags and didn't find anything but I'm not surprised.
My hubby to be wants to get married by a midget.
So if you are a real midget, or know one who might be willing please direct them to this post.
I have an ad on Craig's List but I'm getting everything but midgets.
We will pay for the ordination which is needed to legally perform marriages and can be used Life Long (I'm also ordained if anyone needs an officiant).
We will also donate $100 in cash after the ceremony. The Rev. and his guest are also invited to stay at the reception which features wonderful music and a sword swallower.

I put it in my trunk and kinda forgot about it.

"Kerry can you cover for Kevin today because he got into a car wreck. His shift is 6-9."
"Yeah, sure. I'll just stay when I'm supposed to leave at 5."
That right there ladies and gentlemen was the stupidest thing I did today. I wound up working with two assholes who told me that I can't pawn off my tasks to another co-worker. That said co-worker was not feeling good. So I did basically all 100 preweighs. I didn't do garnish (I'm going in tomorrow to do it...and other stuff I know didn't get done). Gabe (Manager) did a bunch of other stuff before he left. Instead what ended up happening is they were getting me to do everything, while they sat back in the office and talked about how Tyler wasn't feeling good. I didn't know this until I called one of the other managers (Jay) asking where the tape was. Little did I know that he was pulling into the parking lot anyways because he had forgotten something at the store. Well apparnetly he came in and saw both of them just sitting on their asses while I was out there doing everything ( helping customers, finishing up tomoatoes, wiping down tables, etc.) and he made me clock out an hour early.
Then I had to go and see my ex's mom (she's also become like a second mom to me) in the hospital. Apparently some part of her colon is bad. ( Her husband was telling me all the word for it, but it's been a long day I don't remember any of them.) So she's there for awhile. I had a strange epiphany while I was in that hospital. I don't like going to hospitals if it's for someone I know. But I hope to one day work at a great children's hospital. How odd is that?
Now I'm home again and feeling all achy and junk. Apparently Hunter (my older brother's best friend...) is moving in with us for a few days. I don't honestly know why anyone would want to move in here, but whatever.
I totally was going to pack some shit tonight, but that's not going to happen because my friend Megan just called and we are gonna go grab some ice cream and watch a movie. Woohoo. :)
So I'll talk to you ladies later. Since I only have two people who read this anyways.
I can't wait to watch grey's anatomy tomorrow night. I envy Janet who's watching it currently in California. :P
