Commencement Day
So the ceremony for commencement was alright. The speakers were sort of your typical rolling stock, though one of them quoted George Carlin and that kind of made the whole ceremony. So I walked and I was all uncomfortably warm for the ceremony. I looked remarkably well considering I didn't shower beforehand and really didn't wake up until dad called and said he was in the parking lot for my building telling me he was waiting for me. Oops.
After the ceremony I carefully selected a restaurant for my triumphant post-commencement lunch, as it was just dad and I, and I settled on Ritter's. Essentially no one else will eat at Ritter's so I figured my best chance was to take someone who'd never been there before. It was tasty.
Then we sort of meandered east. We drove out to Latrobe on US-30, then went through Latrobe to get to westbound US-22 and returned into the city. As we came through the city again I showed him around 'Woodland Hills' (where I run with an EMS company) and Verona (where I frequently row), and now I'm in Swissvale at Chip's and I think some alcoholic checkers is about to go down.
