Janet's Weekend...
Just giving the point details of my weekend:

Friday:
-Worked at Presby
-First crew practice of the season (where it was effing cold as hell on the river)
-Bait & Switch show, props to Jenn for setting that up and FNI for bringing in Bait and Switch last semester and making Chatham fall in love with them
-FNI (probably one the best showings for Chatham at FNI, will almost half of the Chatham people present made contributions)
-Primanti's with Jenn and Flee to feast on some Smallman Street Fries (those things are like crack, I swear)

Saturday:
-Caving at Laurel Caverns with a bunch of people from Chatham and CMU, including Flee--which was badass!
-Rocky Horror Show on campus, where I dressed up as myself and was routinely told to put more clothes on (the true mark of success)
-Quality time with Jenn, Paige, and Flee

Sunday:
-Went on a stupidly long walk with Tory, that involved a CVS, a Taco Bell, a car dealership in Bloomfield, and other mischief
-Sweet-ass musical worship service in the Campbell Memorial Chapel on campus in the evening.
-Late dinner of breakfast food with Katharine at ENP

I am hurt and offended that you would go to Taco Bell with anyone but me. Good day, Sir.

hi, i found you searching for Chatham and reading some stuff. Anyway I think I'm transferring there in the fall if I don't fail this semester at Pitt (I hate it there) and can miraculously keep my gpa above a 2.0. Apparently if it falls below that I don't get in, so that's fun.

Anyway, my girlfriend really wants to go to Chatham too. She got kicked out of PPU her freshman year and is now in community college but she hates it and hasn't been doing that well. Everyone always says Chatham is so easy to get into but I was lead to believe that you HAVE to have a cumulative of 2.0 or else they can't admit you. Any thoughts on the subject? Do they just say that or is it true? Do you think she could apply as a freshman without college grades? I don't know why you would know this stuff just because you go to Chatham but maybe you will!

Worth a shot!

Chatham, because it's so small, is often willing and able to make exceptions to the rule. If you can demonstrate to the school that you're more than just your GPA and if you're in a better environment you'll do better they're very likely to overlook a poor GPA, especially if you have only recently completed high school and did better there.

Though in the case of your girlfriend it's tough. I'd call the admissions office and see what they think in her specific case.

From my knowledge and experience of the policies at Chatham if you have under a 2.0, but show promise, and you did better in high school and you're willing to work for it you can be admitted conditionally. The condition is that you *must* get your GPA up. Usually the first semester you're here you must make at least a 2.0 (semester GPA) and by the second semester have your cumulative GPA up to at least a 2.0.

Though if you're looking for more info, AIM is a good way to find me. My SN is eightwednesday.
